Services

Assessment

Assessments are normally carried out within clinic or the home environment, although it is beneficial in some cases for me to visit school. I use a range of informal and formal assessments as appropriate and always aim to make the sessions relaxed and enjoyable for the child.

Report

I provide a detailed report that contains information on the child's language profile along with practical strategies for implementation.

Consultation

I am happy to consult with schools or other agencies involved with proper consent.

Working together with parents and school is important in order to ensure that appropriate strategies are put in place consistently across all contexts .

When working with children who do not live in Jersey, I can arrange telephone, Skype or FaceTime conversations with parents or other relevant persons when required.

Autism diagnosis

According to NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) diagnostic assessment for autism should be multi disciplinary.

I am able to provide an appropriate assessment using the gold standard tools (ADOS-2 and ADI-R) to assist in establishing diagnosis in both children and adults. Please click here for information on the diagnostic process.

Medico-Legal

I accept referrals from Case Managers or Solicitors in relation to treating children or young people who are involved in the medico-legal process, subject to conflict of interest checks.

Training

I am experienced in training staff within Education and Health on a range of topics relating to language and social communication. Please contact me for further details of available training packages.
